Our nurturing environment
We place our children and families at the centre of every decision we make. Through the dedication and perseverance of our committed and passionate staff we have created a caring, inclusive school that enables all pupils to thrive. We believe that educating the whole child is important and have a dedicated well being team to support all children.
Our enrichment sessions
Having different year groups learning and playing together creates a wonderfully positive environment for all. In Key Stage 1 this includes activities such as photography, gardening, cooking and philosophy for children. In Year 3 all children spend time at a local farm learning how to look after animals and finding out where food comes from.
Our team is passionate and highly committed to providing the very best for our children. We have a strong record of high academic achievement and when the time comes, pupils are successfully prepared for secondary school education.
Many would say that above all else, the one thing that makes The Butts Primary truly special is the children. They are proud of their school and really value learning to look after both themselves and each other.
We take full advantage of school grounds, fresh air and wildlife right on our doorstep. Welly walks, nature walks, den building and mini beast discoveries are very much an everyday part of school life!
We see the potential in every child. We are an inclusive school that has high expectations for all children. We came in the top ten best Hampshire state primary schools in the Real Schools Guide 2020.
Our Ofsted report
We are exceptionally proud of our most recent Ofsted report which rates us as 'Good' (June 2019)
